Ego bruised more than bike
Took a low speed drop on left side into a ditch as i was looking at scenery. Left front turn signal broke off and is dangling from wires. My only injury is a bruised hip.
Some things cease to work, Speedometer, tachometer and neutral light. Anybody have any idea as to why, cannot see any wiring disconnected. Having bought this bike after 30 years without one, this small spill may be good for me, to respect how easy a things can happen. My head banged ground hard and i am very thankful for the helmet. Will ride with a greater degree of caution from now on.

Glad you're okay. I've been there, done that. It was a nice ride through the Smokies on a beautiful fall day way back when. As for your electical problems ... maybe the wires were broken somewhere in the loom? I'm just taking a stab in the dark, haha. Good luck.

where is fuse located
Bought bike without a owners manual. I started to take tank off before i posted this thread, looking for fuses. Perhaps it is located somewhere easy to find, to further bruise my ego. haha. LOVE this forum, it is like a vtr encyclopedia.

you stated the signal is hanging by wires. was there a possible crossed wire there? you need to find out what caused the blown fuse or it will happen again possibly. someone else chime in on this...

Glad you're okay. I think it was Nick Ienatsch, or another motorcycle writer, who said "if you want to look at scenery, drive a car". In years past I've had periods when I didn't ride for a couple of months or more, and I felt uneasy when getting on my bike again, so I can't imagine a 30 year gap...you're excused.
Now get back in the saddle and enjoy. An MSF course may be a good idea to brush up on skills. I don't know about in Nebraska, but here in California drivers aren't as attentive as they were in 1979.
