crankcase material type?

crankcase material type?
I'm a welder and a customer has asked me to repair a crack in his crankcase off a '2000 VTR 1000 Super Hawk. I have tested the material with an eddy current sensor that tells me it's made from a high aluminum content magnesium alloy. I am trying to match my tig filler as accurate as possible to the crankcase base alloy. Can anybody help on this topic?

Root,
I also do TIG welding, but I have not had to do anything on SuperHawk cases.
Your finding magnesium surprised me, if someone were to ask, I would have said they are an aluminum alloy. Sorry I can't be of more help.
When you get the repair done, please post up the filler alloy you used.
