Clutch basket locknut size?

I'm in the process of rebuilding a trashed 1999 sh engine, and I'm wondering if anyone knows offhand the size of the bolt holding the inner basket to the shaft:

It's part 20 in there. The list says 24mm but I got a 1" 12 point socket (25.4mm) and that's not even close to big enough...

Oh, also, does anyone know the shaft-to-shaft spacing of the crankshaft to the intermediate (clutch) shaft/axis?

Its either 30 or 32 mm iirc - You can try searching old posts, i have seen it mentioned on here a few times.

30mm it is (at least for the 1999 engine.)

Incidentally, this is the reason I'm tearing down the engine:

A casual glance at the bits says that everything except the piston is fine.

A more thorough inspection says the bore in question is destroyed

So, I bought the bike with two engines, but I assume I can't mix and match top and bottom cases unless the bearing sizes match (unlikely, but it could happen.) I've heard about some cylinder replating/welding services but that's probably not worth the hassle...
