Cluster Gauge Backlighting... All bad
Cluster Gauge Backlighting... All bad
My tach gauge back lighting went out on the right side, I afraid my low fuel light isnt working too.
Anyone know if a wire may have just got disconnected or if those lights can go out? Im a little confused.
I did a search and found nothing on this. I checked all the wires on the back of the cluster and nothing seems to have come unplugged. I was workin on the bike earlier (hammering my fairing stay back into place). Wondering what I did.

You could have cracked the cluster and broken the contacts with one of the hits. Hopefully you just cracked the bulbs although the the RLOD is an LED I believe. Swap the tach bulb with a known good bulb to see which is bad: bulb or wiring.
You don't take it apart per se, simply remove it from the fairing stay, pull the bulbs out from the backside, and remove from the wiring harness connector. Less than a buck for replacements at the auto parts stores.
