Carb vacuum pressure.
Carb vacuum pressure.
I was talking to a buddy of mine who just got into riding street. He is said he was doing some research on carb syncing. His gsf1200 apparently needs to have a certain psi rating to work properly. All the carbs can pull about even pressure but if pressure was to high/low it was considered out of sync. I have not read anything about this for our bikes. I am wondering if our bikes need this certain psi also, or if just doesn't apply to the hawk.
I should mention I asked to see this article he read and he could not find it so I have not seen it. Also he has an in line four, so I don't know if this would affect anything with the "how to" with carb syncing. Any in site would be great where its to dismiss/confirm this info, or what in fact the psi would be. Thanks.

I'd have to read the article being referenced to say for sure.. but it sounds like you, your friend or the writer of the article is a bit confused somewhere along the line.
End of the day...
Adjust the VTR1000F carbs so they are synced, drawing the same vacuum from the head test port.
