The carbs on our bikes do need a little attention from time to time.

Welcome to the "unofficial" Superhawk Forum.

I just went through the same thing with my Hawk, only the rear was leaking. Stuck float was remedied with cleaning, along with cleaning out all the jets which were mostly clogged after sitting for only 6 months. Zero dollar repair.

The rear main will be a little larger than the front.

Check for PIVLR = possible inadvertent vacuum line relocation.

Make sure the vacuum line to the petcock is on the left side vacuum port. The bottom port is the diaphragm vent and should be left open. It's a common mistake after removing the tank for the 1st time...I know.

Oops, I just remembered it's PVLIR = petcock vacuum line inadvertent relocation.

I never have been good with acronyms with more than 3 letters.

you may have to sync those bad boy carbs, does anybody have the link for syncing using the snapple bottle method and that extra fitting you need to buy for the carb?

It's probably not a sync problem.

If it was flooded, you probably have fouled plug(s). Take the plugs out and spray with contact cleaner and let them dry. Then check for spark.

Keep the choke (enrichment jets) on until the engine starts.
