Bike wont start

shouldnt it start with starting fluid even if the gas is bad? we shot the starting fluid in the carbs with the tank off and no fuel going to it. Maybe the jets are shot?? we will just chuck the gas.

is there any way to test those ignition modules and computers?
Im on the phone with the dealer right now and they say that I should replace the plugs and gas. He thinks they will do the trick. Nice helpful guy FYI. Jeff at Hitching Post Coon Rapids, Mn. 763.421.8701

plugs may be bad now, too much fuel and it won't fire it got to come close to stoic to fire like between 10:1 and 17:1, too much fuel at once and it's flooded
If you can get a timing gun it may provide additional infos if all else fails.

it has compression. I dont know how much it is supposed to have but it's definately kickin. I dont have a manual so I cant tell ya what its supposed to be at.
I found plugs in town and I am going to get them tonight. The bike is at my parents and thats about a half hour away so I probably wont be able to get to it tonight.
We have a timing gun over there. How are ya gonna do that if you cant see any kind of crankshaft?

Just hook up to the front cylinder and open the frontmost plug on the left engine cover, you should see a F close to the mark but I doubt that it could be the problem, new plugs, new gas, drain fuel bowls, hook up the fuel tank and do a burnout

......? I really don't think you can have too much spark.....CDI and multi-strike boxes for cars are on the market for a good reason
Maybe your plugs are just fouled beyond even trying to spark... If I don't wanna spend any money but have a hard start on something, I pull the plugs, scrub them off lightly with a soft-metal brush, like brass....dip it in some gasoline, and reinstall. The gas will release vapors as it dries and gas vapor is very prone to flash-combustion.....sometimes it gives it just enough kick to get it started so the motor can help to clean the plug up and keep it good.

I would suspect that the pulse generator is bad, can you get a multimeter with a peak hold function ?? Hook up the multimeter to the pulse generator and crank the engine over, you should read 0.7 V as a minimum peak value. Check for correct positioning.
Edit : if you want to check from the connector box test the yellow/white and yellow terminals.
Good luck these problems sucks...

Thanks to GB, and the free online manual that you guys had linked, Dad and I tested the pulse generator. Thats working correctly. We found an ICM on ebay for $75. We ordered that up. Should have an answer here really quickly!

Yup, and I am waiting for the rotors that got bent in the wheel chauk when it fell over in the trailer, and the undertail that is completely broken to bits.
This is the undertail...
