2002 super hawk gas shutoff valve?

Am I just stupid, or is there no gas shutoff on my bike?

These bikes have a vacuum operated petcock. Yours, I believe, is mounted to the frame under the tank.

8mm valve on underside of tank. That's what my 98 has.

The VTR has two fuel shut offs, in the same valve.
The fuel petcock is both automatically open and closed by vacuum and it has a manual shut off as well.....

The valve is located on the rear bottom for ALL VTR's that used the 16L tank (ALL US bikes used the 16 L tanks, other markets got the larger 19L tank in later years)

the Larger 19 L tank used a remotely mounted fuel valve

The valve open and closed by vacuum, so no user activation needed before starting or after.

That same valve has a manual shut off feature as well.

Gas shutoff valve.

Thanks for the answer, and for the pictures. I am just happy that I cannot forget to turn the gas on.
