Oh yeah? That is bad, motor is probably blown. If you are near Atlanta, GA I will scrap the bike for you.

There is a whole list of possibilities. Kill switch, side stand switch. Start with the basics. Pull a spark plug and check for fuel and spark.

Stay away from john3012. I'd hate for him to be my doctor..........doctor says your gonna die!

Pretty skinny list of symptoms and attempts.

Assuming side stand down, in neutral, kill sw set to run....start gets pushed and no life.

Stick a VOM on the battery and give out the reading. Less than 12.5 try jumping. More than 12.5 try fresh fuel and full choke.

Still no start? Find out which you don't have...fuel, air, spark.

Big twin, huge carbs cold weather, bad advice, cheap beer, testosterone fever all contribute to problem. Repost when progress is made, please.

If it backfires when backing off/closing the throttle that's usually a result of a lean mixture. If it backfires under acceleration then that's a whole different ballgame - timing, intermittent spark, poor fuel delivery.
