When do I get to ride it......

After doing my suspension swap I've been waiting for my chain & sprockets to show up to take her out for a test ride....... Yeah they showed up today..... and somehow the packing labels got switched and I received and nice 17\42 kit for a SV or Triumph........ Now I have to play the return and wait again game..... and it's another damn sunny weekend.........

I know the feeling, I am waiting on the chap to be done machining the sprocket carrier on my rear PVM wheel (says he should be done this weekend). Oh well, it`s going to be cool this weekend, plus I have family activites scheduled. I sure am itching to get mine out of storage and running again....

Mike, just get someone to push you around for awhile on the bike!

and really a 'teat' ride sounds pretty fun regardless of the size of your sprockets

Forget the bike

Never miss the opportunity for a teat ride!!!

Looks like my track days are going to be rained out next weekend. If not, I'm hoping I can get home in time to load up and get there.

I dunno Mike but Drew was kind enough to resend my exhaust after I had the wrong address on my paypal account! They'll be here Tuesday, let me know what's up with your schedule/transpo situation. Good Luck!

Glad to see it all came together for you (except the weather that is). Looking forward to reading about your riding impressions

Just remember it might not be dialed in right yet.. I actually took mine to a suspension clinic post swap to get everything just right.

Good point but I do have things pretty close. The sag is set and the rebound and compression setting are as close as I can get them with everything cold.

Just need to put some miles on it and a little tweaking and things should be fine.

I tell you what, I'm starting to understand how much mine needs as far as suspension. I haven't had to many problems in the twisties but on the freeway :< o
I gassed it to pass a few people the other day and with an up n down kinda undulating freeway, it got downright scary at about 115 mph. Kinda like a bucking bronco! say I haven't had any problems in the twisties YET... I bet if it were set up for me I'd notice a HUGE difference. I need suspension help!
Great to hear you got it together Mike, Plenty of sun coming brother!

you need to add a some rebound damping to the front and possibly the rear too. Lightly engaging the front and rear brakes while still on the thottle will help settle the wallowing if necessary.
