Cambridge SoundWorks - never again
On 01/4/2008 I ordered an MP3 player from Cambridge. In there e-mailed conformation they state that "All in stock merchandise will be shipped within 1-3 business days" - looking at there web page the item was listed "in stock"
About 3 days later Iooked at there website, and it said that the status of my order was "processing" No biggie. One day shy of a week (after I placed the initial order) I called them. There web site still said it was "processing".
When I called Cambridge on this thursday they said, they would look into it and call back on Monday. This was not the answer I was hoping for. This week I was deployed so I didnt get a chance to call them until today.
So exactly 2 weeks after I placed the initial order I looked again. There web site said it was "processing" so I called them again.
They said that the order was still processing and had not been shipped out yet. They gave me a story about switching over to a new computer system, and they were not able to figure out how to get the orders sent to the warehouse so they would ship.
So after recieving no information on the status of this order for 2 weeks, and wating for 2 weeks: Cambridge SoundWorks gets a big - you suck - from me.

Sorry to hear it. (no pun intended)
I ordered a tabletop player (745) for my wife at Christmas and I paid a bit more than I would have liked to (it was on sale the week before I ordered it-for $50 less). Then, when I got it it worked - then it crapped-out - then it started working again. It sounds great when it's on!
Hopefully I won't have any other problems with it.
Anyways- hope it works out for you.
