Looks like the AMA & V&H cooked up a spec racing series for the XR1200. Seems pretty cool, I always thought the old 883 supertwins sportster class was neat, especially after I read they'd actually carry a higher corner speed than erion's cbr600! What do you guys think? I know they're still tractors but it's better than nothing.

Some tractors are classy. I won't own one until they don't cost 6 months salary (if ever) but still. If I wanted something to cruise distance on, two up, it might be a tractor.
And oiling the track heading into turn 5, wiping out 2 bikes and stopping a 10 lap race after 2 laps, not to be finished until over 3 hours later when bikes could be run again (probably needed new pistons for the whole field).
I spent a weekend on a XR1200 and was mildly surprised at it's cornering. It wasn't a VTR1000 but it wasn't a Land Rover either.
Funny because I was riding with a bunch of Harley riders who kept telling me I wasn't allowed to ride like that on it...what with dragging my knee and everything...
