Gyro Cam at Laguna Seca: no spoiler

WOW!!! Rossi has a "gyro cam" on the tail section of his bike. Qualifying going on now.

If you think you get it leaned over pretty far, you need to check out the gyro cam.

Sorry I missed your earlier thread. Hopefully they'll show some of the gyro cam during the race tomorrow. It really gives a great perspective and appreciation of the lean angle they achieve at that level.

I know you have to take the banking in the corners into account, and I've been to Laguna Seca twice, back in the mid '80s, but he was getting damn near 90 degrees from vertical.

The gyro cam is cool. The banking on the track is crazy. I got to walk the track on Friday and see it under my feet. For instance, turn 5 is so much more banked than it looks from the edge of the track and a few people had trouble trying to walk down the corkscrew.
