2010 cbf 1000

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...f1000%2010.htm

this bike looks like a solid commuter all round machine. i know im getting old because i keep looking at the sport touring bikes and thinking thats just what the old back needs. now i have done zero research on this bike but im betting its only a euro model. i never see any great looking sport tourers over here. i just need a bike to do everything while being comfortable and still fast enough to make me smile. maybee this bike?? the hunt will continue.

If my math is correct and 1hp = 1.34kw it looks like it puts out roughly 106hp. Should be a pretty lively ride.

I kind of like the looks of it myself. Looks like it might give a little more protection than a true naked bike, maybe not though.

I rode a 2009 CBF1000 test unit (was imported into Canada last year) and was totally blown away by the engine. While it obviously did not have the top-end of a CBR, for example, it had what had to be the widest powerband in all of motorcycling (as least as broad as a Bandit 1250, and that is saying a lot). While it was geared a bit short (4800 rpm at 120 km/h), it could be lugged down to below 30 km/h in sixth gear and accelerate away with authority without a hiccup. The only downside was that it was a bit buzzy (short gearing making it feel worse).

I'd much rather see the CB1000R make it over here.

The Rune is the all-time champ in that regard, and the Hayabusa and TL1000R still make me gag every time I see one. Oh, and how could I forget the Cross-Bones and Fury, available now at Posers R Us....

I'd have to agree... How Honda thought something that looks like a fish on wheels would be cool, I have no idea.

the rune doesn't hold a candle to the dn-01.
the dn-01 is so bad that owners should check into the hospital for head examinations.
i've never seen one on the street. too bad because i'm waiting to point and laugh!!!
dn-01 raised the ugly scale from 10 to 150!!!
what the fock was honda thinking???
is it still being made?

I totally agree....

This 1000F ergos look great but the hp, weight, forks, swingarm just **** me off. Another bike to buy, tear apart, and than rebuild from other models to make just right. Why can't they get it a little closer. Or a lot closer from the get go?
