No, as you can tell by the smilely faces that was sarcasim. As far as the dead beat dad get that scum bag! As for the lalala's I do listen to your "facts" and as I'm sure you know being in the business your in that you can make a study display any facts you wish it to. There are plenty of "facts" out there that tell us it's more dangerous to wear a helmet than not, but do you beleive those? I admitted that in some situations nothing will save you, nothing. You also have some flawed logic in your staements. First you tell me that I'm a public nusence to my neighbors,(even though I'm an insomniac and come home a three a.m. and never had one complaint), and that I'm bringing down my motorcycling brothers by my loud and mischevious exhaust. Then you turn around and tell me nobody can hear me in a car anyway. Which is it am I loud enough to wake the dead or not loud enough to make a difference? I live in a nice quiet town where you can hear a pin drop after 8:30 p.m. yet have never had a visit from the police. I even ride in the posh Island of Palm Beach where the police carry DB meters to make sure they keep out the riff raff Why haven't they thrown my punk *** in jail. Then you say, "people are people and interstates are interstates", WHAT you've got to be kidding me!! I can ride an hour and a half south and the drivers there are 10 times more aggressive and on crapier roads. An hour and a half the other direction there's nothing but orange groves are you really telling me the driving experience is the same in all three counties. Not to mention the fact that Jax and Panama city are far from S.Fla., we account for more than half of Floriduh's population! Yes I know I spelled it Floriduh my I.Q. went up 50 points just by moving here.

You are also correct when you say that no one owns up for there actions in america anymore. But I'll take that one step farther and say the world, it's one of my biggest pet peeves. But that's not me, one thing I live by and try to teach my kids is, if you make a mistake apologize and rectify. But I don't think this is the biggest problem in society today. The biggest problem is intolerance, you know the people that can't understand why I can't do exactly what they want me to do. The people that want to force me to live my life their way or suffer the consequences. You know the people that can't handle me driving by at a respectable speed for a few seconds. Some people won't like motorcycles or the people that ride them no matter how loud or quiet they are.

Yes I was a little put off by your statements on my riding ability but that was just because you were making comments with no basis. I don't judge you because besides our little conversations here I don't know you. I don't know how you ride or what your disposition is in any way so I kept personal comments out, that's all.

I'm a firm believer in freedom of choice, I strongly disagree with the goverment forcing choices on people, but yes I do think it's dumb to not protect yourself as much as possible. I think we shouldn't have those laws so we have a little population control. You know like the people that want to go to the beach so they can see how big the storm surge will be when a catagory 4 hurricane hits land.

With all this said I think this has been one of the best debates I've been invoved with in a long time. You have kept me thoroughly entertained as well Adam and I'm glad my humor makes you laugh and doesn't offend you,(there are so few like you). I really wasn't pissied and that beer is here whenever you want it! I expect the same next time I'm in your grand state of Tennesse. Love those mountain roads, maybe we'll meet at the dragon some day. Oh and no background checks either you untrusting S.O.B! I think that covers everthing for now, what do you do look at the posts and then go write a rough draft! Your always so damn thorough. Must come with the job huh.

Loud pipes save lives......... Loud pipes arent a nusance...

For those of you that havnt caught on, the blue hairs cant see or hear.
They cant figure out how to put new batteries in the hearing aids.

If you want to be noticed by them, paint your bike neon green, quit being a pain in the *** for the rest of us enjoy riding......because we like to ride. Not because the bike is an accessorie to make us look cool.

People with loud pipes our obnoxious.

My neighbor 2 doors down has straight pipes. . I can hear him from app 1/2 a mile away. He idles the bike in the driveway, and goes around the block (literaly)

Flashback 11pm x-mas eve. Me and my fiancee are enjoying the quiet night and guess who desides to make a few laps. The Ahole down the road.

I call the cops and they arrive as he is pulling a burnout in the middle of the road. This is 11pm christmas eve.

Re: What is the loudest exhaust?

The guy that hit me in the parking lot and most of the old people that my wife, "the tramua nurse," works on (now I have an expert for the defense) say the same thing. "I thought I hit the brake pedal." Quite a few have driven through, not just into but through, houses and businesses down here. Not only that but she also said that the majority of motorcycle accident victims that she gets are squids ridding beyond thier abilities and people just cruising that had an old person pull out in front of them.

I just want to do everything in my power to be noticed so I don't become that oh so painful hood ornament. :

"I'd be better off trying to convince the grass to stop growing." Nice metaphore, I was thinking along the same lines but mine was, it's like telling a mule not to be so stubborn. No I'm not implying you're a jackass just stubborn.
