One side of my Hawks header pipes is bent just before where it connects to the midpipe. I havnt really seen any systems that replace more than the midpipe and silencers, is there a good replacement for the headers? the bend causes the stock pipes to fit like crap and I always end up with exhaust leaks no matter how much i push them back on and tighten them.

I was also wondering if anyone knew where to get the Mig highmounts these days, Iv seen a few of the carbon sets on here and love the look. someone has a set on ebay that looks like it will go for cheap (someone on here made a thread about it) but thats the only set iv seen and they are aluminum....

anyway, just curious if anyone knew answers to this stuff.

 

MIG is out of business. So you're only gonna find used ones...that's why the one on Ebay is such a kickass deal

When you're looking at exhaust systems online, when it says "full" system that means it comes with headers. So if you want headers and everything, get a full system...and they are out there.

 

You can get a stock replacement header off ebay for pretty cheap. Eurobikes.com used to sell superhawk parts including mig exhaust. They don't have anything listed anymore but you may want to give them a call and see if they have leftovers, can point you in another direction, etc...

 

can anyone name the brands that sell full systems that include headers?

I dont get the big price jump, on average a slipon with midpipe is 600 or so.... how is a v twin header pipe worth 1000 bucks....

i come from the world of modified cars and I would say thats less piping and all than your average downpipe on a turbocharged car and those go for just a few hundred at best....weird

I think Ill just get the slipons with midpipe and fix my stock pipe or get a new stocker...sure soemone has one for sale cheap.
