VTR Fork Question

Which model and year fork assembly would be the most straight forward conversion for the Superhawk versus replacing the fork springs and valves? The cost for the valves and springs would be less than $300 and I know the fork conversion would be more expensive, but would the conversion give me a better product with greater adjustment?

900RR is pretty much a bolt-on. It gives you larger diameter tubes but I still think you're stuck with no comp. adjustment. After that I think the 929/954 is probably the way to go. I've been doing some research lately and I'm going to be using 1000RR tubes but only because I'm very familiar with their valving.

F4/F4i with triples (as low as $300ish used)

Pros: 43mm, rebound and compression. Uses same VTR steering neck bearings, wheel, axle, and brakes. Need f4i wheel spacers

Cons: slightly shorter so clip ons may not have enough room to bolt on (I ran a handlebar so I don't know for sure), soft springs, triples have different offset but every swap that I know of doesn't match.

I've decided to go with the Race Tech Gold Valves and Springs to replace the stock ones.

I was told the 954 fork tubes are much longer than the stock VTR. I never measured them but remember Bob Hayashida at BVH telling me that and directing me towards the RC51 at the time. I found that conversion also very straightforward.
