Are those specs available? I probably have them somewhere on one of my many hard drives if so.

According to a guy who used to post here years ago who called himself Rollingalong, he had Web Cam make some custom cams for him that didn't require upgrading the valve springs. I bet they still have the specs for them.

Thanks Tweety for posting the graphs and thanks Dr. Honda for taking the trouble to make the stacks and fork brace!

Do you have 5 different sets of cams, which would be 20 pieces in all?
I have 5 different complete sets of cams for the engine in total... Like I said... One off... Completely custom made by the race team for the one off, off the charts bonkers VTR engine they raced... Which did produce enough to wreck the reinforced frame at it's peak... I couldn't get any numbers out of the guy... "Enough to win" was the most informative answer he gave... He does give me pointers through if asked, but ask any direct question about numbers this or that and it's like talking to a wall...

The engine is still around in a milder tune (than race tune) in a bike he owns... I have done a couple of laps on track on it... And like I said... In comparasion, my bike feels stock (engine wise)...

He did offer to re-build my engine to that spec... Or race spec... It's just a question of money... And the fact that that's entirely to much engine for me...

Yeah, sorry about the thread drift...

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get you a little update.

Well... Pittsburgh and most of the NE has been hit with a nasty blizzard. We got 22" of snow over the weekend, and we are getting 12" more today/tomorrow. Needless to say, I'm not getting into my shop. If we get a break in the weather, and I don't get hit with any other work, I'm still going to try to get a prototype done.

The other thing that is holding up the prototype this week is that the owner of my sister company is in the hospital, and I am trying to get to his shop to acquire all of his inventory to try to fill orders. The weather has been keeping me from doing that. That company's name is CycleControl. There aren't any superhawk parts on there... but if you know someone who has ordered, and can't get in contact with Ian Yong... please contact me to work out any problems.

I would consider stacks from Dr. Honda when they become available.

I contacted Tony today. He is a busy man, but has not forgotten about us. Business at the shop has picked up early this year, so our parts have moved down the priority list, but not off. That's in addition to helping his friend at the Sister Business.

He hopes to have the new tools soon, and a prototype available in the next 2 weeks, based on work load.

I'll be here and waiting, no hurry.

Thanks for the offer zmaniv, I'll wait though. Tony made a committment to us and bought the stock and tools, now it's just timing. No rush, rode without them for 2 years, can wait a few more days/weeks/months.

Thanks again for the offer.

I try to ask, but now I think is'nt possible...
I have ask first to start if anyone was interested, but nobody has answer, so we have make only six couple (whit my friends of the italian VTR community).
I try to ask if is possible to make other couple of velocity stacks, but I can't promise nothing....

I finally got up the urge to put mine in today, it took all of about 30 minutes to complete the install.

There is quite a bit more top end speed and also more butt dyno bottom end torque

Glad to see you're riding, Manny! I rejetted, added the stacks, and did the Ignition Advancer all at the same time. The mechanic says "crazy fast" - the kid (40 yrs my junior) just shakes his head when I bitch about fuel economy and walks away smiling.

Like I said in another thread - when they told me about the brakes and the suspension it would be like a whole new bike. They were right.

This is equally huge and the stacks are the biggest part of the punch. No jest - from 40mph to over a 100mph with a gradual roll-on in 3rd. In about 150 yards at most.

There is a chap in Australia who has velocity stacks for the VR listed on his website. I sent him an inquiry and we'll see what his prices are.

http://www.hpower.com.au/price.html

This one is kind of pricey:

And those are the ones we copied and had made cheaper than the original... So I doubt you'll like the price...

Well, the drawings are available... Get a group together and find a CNC operator... Do ten of them and the price should be OK... That's the cheapest option... Not the easiest, but cheapest...

I've got my CNC guy quoting them right now. Knowing his pricing the way I do I'd expect to keep them at around $100-125 for the set. I've got him pretty backed up with other parts (I'm about 90% of his total business) so I'm not sure when he would be able to get the first ones made. Once I get the quote back I'll have a better idea.
