Superhawk Exhaust

Hi, I recently picked up a 2000 Superhawk and i was looking to put some aftermarket slip ons on the bike. I was looking into Jardine or Two brothers. Does anyone have any suggestions? And also I have found pictures of the high mount jardine's where people still had the passenger footpegs on the bike, did they have to fabricate these brackets? or do the jardine high mount pipes work with the stock footpeg brackets?
Thanks.

Hey dude, WELCOME! to the site. You bought a great bike.

Now the bad news: your first question is a FAQ (and probably the #1 FAQ) best answered with a good search of the site where you find numerous threads on this subject. The model celebrated its 10th anniversary this year so a lot has been discussed.

Yes the jardines like many other highmounts, come with spacers for the rear pegs to fit. (not quite a FAQ but pretty darn close)

I have the Jardines. They are excellent. D+D are poor quality. And obnoxiously louddd. I have heard the TB's and they sound pretty swell also.

Check out the Staintunes, I think they give the SH a menacing growl.

I have two brothers on my 98 hawk with a stage two jet kit and a k&n. Has an awesome tone to it when im cruisin and when i crack the throttle that thing barks and demands respect. Ive been riding come around the corner and cracked the throttle and it turns heads. I absolutely love the sound. Good luck with your bike and enjoy. It was the best move i ever made!!

i've got the two-bros high mounts and they've gotten more compliments on their sound and look then i can count.

however... i think that they're rather low quality when compaired with products from Akrapovic, Sato or other high end mfg's. Good for the money though.

My Jardines set off car alarms and frighten dogs on the street . Just not sure I like the tone but I have nothing to compare them to.

My bike came with the RT 1s and I like em. True set off alarms with these things Devil is louder. Thats not always a bad thing, I though Devil cost the passenger pegs though?

Devil high mounts keep the passenger foot pegs, and are plenty loud IMHO.

I'm currently running a pair of smashed (thanks to a California rolling friend) carbon highmount TBRs and they are sweet. My California rolling friend is fixing his mistake with a pair of carbon Kerkers that I found on Ebay. I just got them today but I got 2 right pipes. They look like they're gonna be loud.

I have the high mount Staintunes. They are expensive, but don't require rejetting, and they sound fantastic, IMO.

I got my bike with TBR, and the sound was the reason I bought the bike.
It is kinda loud though. Set off the alarm on my truck. It never goes off just by noise...

good luck.
tdk.

I heard the REMUS were on the quiet side, and bought a set used from a guy that popped up on the sight. Unfortunately when they came...they said RACE on the box. Doh! That being said, quality and fit is great, and although they are loud...not as loud as I expected. If anybody wants to trade a quieter set of high pipes for these "race" pipes I'll consider anything of quality.
