Shorter Slow/Pilot Jets

I just received my #48 slow jets from jetrus today...I order the Genuine Keihin slow jets....they are much shorter from top to threads....compared to stock. From the threads down they are equivalent to stock jets....Are these ok to run???? Has anyone has seen this before???

All help is appreciated.....

This looks like a good topic to me. What happened when the new jets were installed? Run differently? Improved low end?
