Racetech stock rear shock

Has anyone had any experience getting their stock shock revalved, maybe resprung from Racetech?

I'm thinking of doing this instead of the aftermarket versions which I can't afford.

Opinions?

Re: Racetech stock rear shock

hi bud,

I picked up a stock recently re-valved Race Tech shock on eBay (was set-up fpr rider 180-200 lbs) and found it to be a noticeable improvement over the OEM set-up. The ride is smoother and more controlled. Square-edge bumps no longer have my butt reaching for the sky either. The addition of this part along with RT fork springs (and a cartridge mod) have totally transformed the bike.

I say go for it

Mikstr.

What was the cartridge mod that worked for you?
Valve porting?
Shim stack?
Drilled bleed hole?

Also what oil weight used?

Thanks,

If I remember right, didn't this auction come with a receipt and wasn't it really expensive when they did it? How much?
