PVM wheels :)

Woohoo!!!!

I just picked up a set of 6-spoke PVM racing wheels (for 900RR, told they're magnesium, although they may also be aluminium?) for an unbelievable price (they are listed on the PVM site at $2400 USD!) . The rear is a 6" unit too Yep, the Mikstr is h-a-a-a-a-a-ppy

Here is the link: http://www.pvm-usa.com/w/e/mo/produc...df/pvm6spr.pdf

This also means that I will be looking to get rid of the 900RR back wheel I just picked up (but haven't yet received). If anyone is interested let me know

Time to go celebrate with a ride on the VTR, he he

If they change the handleing HALF as much as my Carbon Fiber ones did, your gonna never want to stop hitting corners, especially chicanes! I can flip my bike side to side and back quicker than any other rider I ride with. Good score bro.

yessir

I did some snooping around and found this info about the wheel weights:
stock F: 14 lbs, stock R: 24 lbs
PVM cast mag F (ones I picked up): 9 lbs, R: 14.25 lbs

The PVM figures were provided by Dan Kyle so they are surely accurate but I don't know if this also holds true for the quoted OEM numbers. Also, not sure if they were weighed in the same conditions (with or w/o bearings,....). Regardless, I am looking at a sizeable difference in ROTATING weight, should speed up both steering and engine response noticeably

Also, the shallow and poser part of me is looking forward to seeing the VTR with a 190/50 rear tire (on a proper 6" rim). Arrrrrrr, should look mean, he he

Looking forward to getting all of this new stuff (heads, cams, wheels, stickers,...) installed. Not only will it look good, it should go like stink too

I'll keep you gents posted.

cheers
