GSXR1000 Rear Shock...

Hey guys came across a cheap rear shock from an '02 gsxr1000....

My question, would it be worth it? Is it really that much of a difference you can feel? How about adjustibility? Ours is only spring pre-load adjustable.

Could prolly grab it for $25. Planned to install during winter tear down season if its worth it.

Well... It's not really going to fit since the shock is shorter with a lot shorter stroke... But other than that, yes it would have been an upgrade in dampening performance...

Save up some money and spend it with Jamie on his CBR conversion shock, man knows his stuff and is a very friendly guy with a wealth of suspension info, believe me, I've asked a lot. I bought a shock from him to start the conversion and he was going to respring it for my weight and riding style, for $300 shipped. All I have to do is pull my stock shock and bolt his in.

That or you can hope to find a Penske or Fox shock and then still have to set it up, and possibly put new seals and oil in it
