Actually, I just went back and looked again at the torque curve. I think I could improve the high rpm flow. It looks like th cams want to keep making power and the torque flattens and decreases slightly. I'm still learning...

I wonder what would happen if you went up one size on the main jets?
Or is it the exhaust system? When I put the Moriwaki system on and ignition it was a very noticable kick in the ***-dyno.
I made those changes after running for a season with TBR slip-ons and stock ignition on the built motor.

Careful RC, careful. Gang, I think we might need an intervention. :-)

Sorry, just trying to do a cost/benefit thing here.
It's not about the cost/benefit ratio for me but the stupid grin that I am gonna have on my face in the spring. Can't take it all with you right, you wanna have some fun. I know I can sell the bike and put that money on top and buy a newer faster one but how unique would that be. Live and have fun while you can. That's just my opinion. Also, I looked in your sig and my, your list of mods far exceeds mine. You must be havin fun too.

Sorry, didn't get to look at that but the mechanic said it was spot on and yes there was a little dip between 5 and 5500 rpms but he said that is normal for the bike.

LOL. RC, do you wanna buy it??? LOL I will hook you up just like you did. LOL
I have no idea what would happen if I go a size bigger on the jets, I am running 182/185 right now and themechanic liked the setup. Oh by the way, we combined the carb springs from the dynojet kit with the Factory pro jet kit(because this one uses the stock ones) and the throttle response is night and day.

For those of you who want to broaden the hp discussion, I have come up with an ingenious new way of measuring it: "chp" or coralled hp. So, for example, my VTR has, I figure, has about 500 chp. Of course, only a maximum of 105 come out at any one time but that is not the point....

1/2 inch off the diameter works great.

I really need to move on...

The transient torque output is improved, which improves acceleration.
I didn't notice any negative effect.
It is a huge change in the engine rotational inertia. Nothing in the bike has as wide range of rotating speed as the crankshaft, so changes there are dramatic.
