Digital speedo 1880mm

So with my re-gearing my speedo is wrong (of course). I have always wanted a digital so until I do a dash swap I am using a bicycle computer/speedo.

Its wireless, works great and sits right on my analog speedo. Turns out the wheel circumfrence was 1880mm in case anyone does this. I even installed an LED light wired into the dash lights to light it up red.

I also have a speedo healer to install eventually.

I'm curious can you post a pic? I'd like to see it.

I've thought about doing this. I have a wireless bike speedo that I rarely use. Where did you clip the magnet?

I will post some pics, its not quite a monsoon here today. I mounted the magnet to the disc carrier. The unit is wireless so that simplified things.

Some pics. I made a video but have yet to figure out how to youtube it.

Its actually strange to know my actual speed.(I havent for years). Usually kind of superfluous info since its more "go survival speed" than care but on out of city rides its nice.

I've gone this way before, but now use a Garmin GPS watch. No science at all there, but it does cost more.

Wow, this wireless speedo cost me $7 to my door on ebay. I would be afraid to destroy such an expensive watch.(which I know I would). Can you make speed be the main display?

I think I spent $80 or so on Ebay. It’s a pretty sturdy item – waterproof, shock resistant, etc… You can set it to display MPH as its main screen and it recharges on a base every 15 hours. It does take a minute to find a satellite when you first turn it on, but you can use it when you run, walk, hike… probably even swim. It also has a little map, which I suppose you could use to geocache.

I’ve used bike speedos forever and found no problem with them, but I wanted a good backlight this time around. You can make the watch backlight for as long as you’d like, though you do go through batteries faster.

I have a Vapor on my dirtbike, works great and is very durable. I just realized the gauge cluster on my dirtbike shows me more info than my streetbike...

OK so here is my first youtube video of my life. Shows my speedo, turn signals, brake lights. Way more impressive at night but you can imagine.

YouTube - ‪Superhawk lights and speedo‬‏

I truly believe this is pure survival tactics, sort of the opposite as squid tactics to make the bike LESS conspicuous.

nothing,

How did you get the rpms to read right on the vapor? I'm still trying to install mine and I am having issue with the pulse per resolution for my vtr.
