Anyone running NO2?

My bike is going to have plenty of power in the corners but on the straight stretches I'm going to get smoked. Has anyone setup their hawk with nitrous? and if so, how did you do it?

Carry more corner speed.

I just hate giving up the lead to a slower riders on the long stretch only to have them slow you down in the corners. If I could get 170 on the top end I think I could be competitive with the four bangers.

Happens to me all the time on the track. I think it's much more fun to pass them in the corners anyway, anybody can go fast straight up and down. I like to see them puff their chest out on the straight just to be deflated in the twisties!

I have the same problem - most of my friends have much more powerful bikes. But when you outride them on the track (or, I guess, the street if that's your thing), it's more of a boost to your ego when their only advantage is straight-line acceleration.

Anyone can twist the fungrip to the stop. That takes no skill. Hustling an underpowered, overweight, yet stylish, Vtwin around a twisty bit of pavement is what brings a smile to my face.

You need about 3 teeth down in the back and about 25 more hp to do 170mph. The SH is redline limited around 157-158mph (real and not what the speedo shows because speedo is off by about 10%).

I see in another thread that you are going streetfighter. I assume that means no fairing. Trying for more top end without a fairing is tying one hand behind your back don't you think?

Yeah its not going to be fully faired but I still think I have a shot at speeds above 150mph. My buddy runs a Kawi Z1000 and he does pretty good tucked in on the straight stretches.
