what kinda bikes did you ride before the SH. The Sh are decent, there are not that bad. Compared to other liter bikes they are lacking.

The stockers work.... but I'd guarentee if you rode a bike someone mounted a RC51 MC and calipers on, you'd think very differently....

The RC brake upgrade is honest the only "simple" mod I've ever done that actually was so noticeable, I couldn't believe the difference. Alot of times, mods have made me "feel" like the bike is better than any true noticeable performance gain... This mod I noticed the difference 50 feet out of my driveway.

Yup, they were almost top shelf components back in 1997.

Are you sure yours are stock? The better calipers look very much the same as the dinky stockers.
BTW, did you get my parts?

I'd agree. But really, the only reason to do a performance mod is if you're experiencing a performance deficit. If the stockers meet your needs, there is absolutely no reason to change. When and if you need the upgrade, you'll know.

Edgarbaker I just converted to the RC51 MC and calipers on my SH and the difference is night and day over the stock calipers. I also replaced the stock brake lines with HEL s/s which helped a lot.

Very little effort is needed to slow the bike down from most any speed and I am not a little guy.
