I like the look of the gold wheels. I think you have to be careful to pick the right color. I have heard that some of these shops are real reasonable for price and some of the guys are near artists at working the colors. From what I've heard from others the local guys stay really busy and the guys that advertise are just a lot more expensive. The quality seems to be there either price. I like the wet-look black as well but I think that looks best with a bike that runs a lot of chrome ie header, mids, cans, polished edges and wet-look centers. The parts that I've already committed to sort of take me down that road with my bike. You already have the dark cans, add some gold bar ends and a couple other gold features and I think you have a killer look.

Thanks Mike-found it. That's pretty cool the way he relieved it to fit. Great now ANOTHER decision to make. Do that or take the easy way and pass it off as liking the R1/TL1000R look and mount it underneath. I think I've seen the rear caliper mounted below before...not sure where but I think it was an aftermarket swap of some kind. Oh well I'll figure it out...

Although I did see a guy that had annodized his sprocket to the same color of the wheels. Looked really cool!

I wonder what the gold would look like on a blue VTR? The dealer where I bought my bike will do powder coating for $120. They keep your bike for a couple days, take the wheels off and put it on a stand. Then they taket the wheels next door to the powdercoater. Viola! Couple days later, you're big pimpin'.

I may look into that here in the next few days. Somebody photoshop gold wheels on a blue '03!!! Just kidding. I don't expect anybody to do that for me.
