Powdercoat Valve Cover

Who has done this on the Superhawk? Do the valve cover temps warrant high temp powdercoating, or can standard powdercoat be used?

Thanks!

Standard powdercoat worked fine for me. 4 years and counting with no issues. Th eplace that did mine just did the whole thing too (no masking), and I haven't had any leaks or anything because

They powdered the inside of the valve cover too???

How much did powdercoating the valve covers cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah they did the inside too (I was pretty pissed), but I figured I'd run them just to see. I have those things off at least a couple of times a year and there aren't any seal issues with the gasket or anything. I don't have an answer for how much they cost- I did a box of parts as well as two rims in one color, so it was all grouped. The place has a minimum of $50 and it wouldn't cost more than that, but if you can sneak it in a color that they're already running they will often lower it.
