Well tonight in between Stubbies( because its Furkin HOT) I finished all the wiring to the headlight, fitted the gauges for the last time, an drilled the clip on bars to suit the locating pins in the switch blocks then Loctited everything to death.

Oh man that thing looks tough! It looks indestructable, and a bit over the top and I love it.

Pappy,

Can you give me a side on shot of the radiator to front wheel clearance?

Its just with mine with a standard RHS rad the back of the guard makes contact, but yours is shorter.

Couldn't point me to where the rad came from and which one it is for "reference"?

Thanks mate.

So now after 3.5 months and with only a few little things left to do, like make a chain guard and bleed the front brakes and clutch, the bike is nearly finished with just maybe some decals.. Hope you dig the skeleton eyes on the dash,,, I finally found a use for that front positioning light..Bwhahahah!!

I think that's the most put together cafe hawk I've ever seen. Very polished and it looks like a lot of thought went into the work. Not just slapped together. Very nice!

Thumbs up Now that's how to make a statement!

Congrats man -that's a badass & fantastically macho bike. You should design naked bikes for a living!! Have you determined the total weight now? (It might need a permanent set of wheelie bars on the back if its as light as it looks...)

Thanks for the postitive feedback guys

Well after completing most of the bike I was ready to fire it up, so I cranked her over and it ran like ****, seemed like a fueling problem. So I went about pulling off the Carbies and found that the front cylinder choke plunger had broken and siezed in the carb. Now I will either have to make the part or get bent over by Mr Honda`s parts dept.

That thing gets broken by everyone.

With a little modding (don't quote me, but i think that I had to drill out some threads and put a stop-washer in) you can get this brass polaris scrambler one to work:

Yep, I tried to make an AL version of it in the mill, but for the $ that polaris one is the better deal.

Great job Pappy, That's the nicest Cafe Hawk I've ever seen. Thanks for taking the time to share your project with us as it was ongoing. And it only took you 3.5 months, that's amazing. It's gonna be lots of fun working out the bugs. You should enter it in VTROM, you'll probably win VTROY also.

Been for a couple of rides on it now and with that front rad my temp is around 75-85c. So what do these things run at with the side rads normally?
