LP rear turn signals blinking fast

I have flush mounts on the front (dont know who made them) and had stock signals on the back. Bought LP short stalk signals for the back and the litle wiring adapter so they plug in. Now all of my signals blink fast. They arent LED's or anything. What is causing them to blink fast?

They are a different wattage than the stock bulbs.

So what is the best way to slow down the blinking?

Thanks, I'll check 'em out. If I'd have known the'd blink fast I'd have bought LED's!

Load equalizers are also available at your local Advanced Auto for much cheaper ($12 http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...CGRP2044__load___). I had them in mine. They usually carry them in stock where all the LED/Neon stuff is.

-Your flasher is nothing more than a bimetallic strip between two contacts. Current flows through this strip on its way to the turn signal, and when too much current passes through, the strip warps up and breaks the contact momentarily because the inside of the strip expands more quickly with heat. It cools and returns. If you are blinking too fast, too much current is flowing through. You don't need to buy anything more than a few resistors from radioshack and wire them in series with each blinker. Just measure the resistance of your old light, and your new one, find the difference, and go buy that resistor. Should get you back to normal. And shouldn't cost more than a buck or two at most.

Before you go any farther, check all your signal connections. I had an issue with fast blinking and traced it to rear signal where a wire had broken inside the signal housing - re-soldered and it was fine.

I'll check the connections tonight. Maybe I'm color blind or something
