The gilles look nice too, How adjustable are they. My 05 Tucker Rocky catalog still lists them, I guess I better give my distributer a call. Thanks for the info . The only thing I don't like about gilles is the color, I would prefer black.

Re: Harris Rearsets?

I have the Harris rearsets on mine and absolutley love them. They have something like twenty holes to adjust positioning making them good for both tall and not so tall like myself and are a beautiful addition as well. The shifting is smother and the feel is much better than stock. You can really feel the road not to mention the added cornering clearence compared to the stock curb feelers. and shifter adjustments are a snap. bought mine on ebay CHEAP! If you can get them I highly recomend them, not to play down the gilles I have no exp. with them and I'm sure they are high quality as well.

Re: Harris Rearsets?

No Problem hope your as happy with yours as I am with mine. What color did you get I have the chrome ones. They look awesome, when you drop the swing arm you can leave everything together you don't have to take it all the way off.

Glad I could help you out with your purchase and at least make you feel more at ease. By the what did you end up paying and are they new?

Re: Harris Rearsets?

I have the Harris on my VTR. One thing I experienced and that is with my Staintunes Highmounts I had all the adjustability the rearsets offered, however, when I switched to the awesome Remus highmounts all adjustablity disappeared. The Remus midpipe blocked the use of all the holes except one.

I have no idea if any exhaust other than the Remus will do this, just a heads up tho.

Re: Harris Rearsets?

thanks for that warning on the exhaust. I'm actually gonna build my own mid pipes for my hawk so I will definitely watch for the clearance on the rearsets.

I'd like to see that when your done, what's your plan underseat, one sided I've always wanted to block off the left under the bike and just run the right side. One of these days when I have enough money for dyno runs with left on then off.
