Re: Harris Rearsets?
I tried to buy one online and then the seller contacted me and told me that they no longer offered it because Harris had discontinued it for the hawk. So I got the Gilles, which is the one I was going to get in the first place, and man am i happy that i did. This sucker is solid! and it is probably the nicest craftmenship that I have ever seen on a rearset. You might want to look into it as well. I just put it on last night, which was quite a bitch, but it is sweet. Good luck, I know this does not answer any of your questions but hopefully good feedback.

The gilles look nice too, How adjustable are they. My 05 Tucker Rocky catalog still lists them, I guess I better give my distributer a call. Thanks for the info . The only thing I don't like about gilles is the color, I would prefer black.

I got mine from Kneedraggers.com, but they only have the titanium color in stock. Below is a website where you can get them in any color, but they are a little bit more expensive at wild hair. Good luck.

Re: Harris Rearsets?
Sorry about all the posts, last one. The adjustability is pretty extensive. I put mine all the way back and up and I love it, especially how solid they are. Plus, the throw on my shifts is about 1/3 of what it was, clunk is gone. By far the blingiest thing on my bike. I wanted the gold ones but did not feel like paying the premium for the finish, would have loved black but then I would have commited myself to doing the frame in black. Either way, good luck.

I have the Harris rearsets on mine and absolutley love them. They have something like twenty holes to adjust positioning making them good for both tall and not so tall like myself and are a beautiful addition as well. The shifting is smother and the feel is much better than stock. You can really feel the road not to mention the added cornering clearence compared to the stock curb feelers. and shifter adjustments are a snap. bought mine on ebay CHEAP! If you can get them I highly recomend them, not to play down the gilles I have no exp. with them and I'm sure they are high quality as well.

No Problem hope your as happy with yours as I am with mine. What color did you get I have the chrome ones. They look awesome, when you drop the swing arm you can leave everything together you don't have to take it all the way off.
Glad I could help you out with your purchase and at least make you feel more at ease. By the what did you end up paying and are they new?

Re: Harris Rearsets?
I have the Harris on my VTR. One thing I experienced and that is with my Staintunes Highmounts I had all the adjustability the rearsets offered, however, when I switched to the awesome Remus highmounts all adjustablity disappeared. The Remus midpipe blocked the use of all the holes except one.
I have no idea if any exhaust other than the Remus will do this, just a heads up tho.

I'd like to see that when your done, what's your plan underseat, one sided I've always wanted to block off the left under the bike and just run the right side. One of these days when I have enough money for dyno runs with left on then off.

Can you hook up a superhawk brother with with that $350 price on the Harris rearsets?
(figured it wouldn't hurt to ask)
