front running light thing!

SOMEBODY END MY GOOGLE AND FORUM SEARCH MADNESS

WHAT THE F@#$ bulb is in that front smaller running light.??

My friend and I just bought PIAA GTX or something bulbs ( can't remember the name because i fell to the floor and hit my head when i found out how much they were) and they look fantastic, the bulb above it looks like crap.

Looking to replace it with an led or way whiter light,??

ANYONE???

I took the bulb out it reads

37R 204
W5W 12V

I'm just gonna buy an led 194, hope it fits. if not I'll run without. It looks terrible stock.

You were on the right track there but should have stopped with "I took the bulb out." Actually, mine is still in place and operational but I'd love to find another use for it. I thought about a small ram-air but haven't figured out how just yet (without making it look stupid).

a #194 should work. when i got a PIAA high output headlight bulb the running light looked yellow so i went to pep boys and found a "super white" bulb and it works great. the bulb is blue when off but bright white on but the blue dosent show through the lense much. if you want you could take the stock bulb to the store to match it.

How does a mount for a bullet cam sound to you...

My response to the stupid rules at Nürburgring about not allowing camcorders...

I like the bullet cam idea. That would have helped me get the number of the ding dang mommy that cut me off and slammed on her brakes, causing my custom road pin stripping. left side ofcourse.

I really never thought of that I have a very small cam corder, wondering if.....

naa sounds like pure disaster.

I found 194 PIAA GT-X plasma bulbs on ebay. might give them a shot.

If you want the best selection of bulbs/lights/LED's go to a good truckstop with a chrome/accessory shop. The selection is unbelievable and reasonable prices.

i replaced mine with a SINGLE pure white LED on a 194 bulb mount. this is the webite i got it from, great site highly recommend it. for most led bulbs the truck-stop really is the place to go.

PS. my best guess as to its purpose is to be an extra margin of safety, if for example your headlight failed. or maybe to spray ugly yellow light, one of the two
