Fairing repair

Bought my 05' a week ago, and didn't notice that on left side of the fairing on the turn signal cut-out that there are cracks front and aft approx. 1/2 to 3/4" long. I have some thoughts on how to repair, but would appreciate your best fixes. I would like to prevent further cracking and ideally fix best I can without having to re-paint. I realize that it won't be perfect that way but for now just want to prevent further cracking. I thought of drilling 1/16" holes at end of each crack but was looking for other possible solutions?
Appreciate the feedback!

Had a similar problem w/ my 2003 this spring after I bought it. Take off the fairing and remove the inside parts. When you can clearly access the cracks, take a dremel tool and remove a bit of the ABS behind the cracks, so when you will em, they'll fill pretty flush with the rest of the surface. Then you wanna cover the painted side with some duct, or very adhesive masking tape (to keep the filler from bleeding through). Clean up your grinding real well w/ plastic cement (pipe) cleaner on a rag. When it dries, mix up and fill the backside of the cracks w/ 2 part epoxy that's specific to ABS plastic. I applied mine w/ an old credit card. It's still holding well after 3,000 miles.

Perfect. Thanks BluStreak. That sounds great. I also noticed upon further inspection that the inside fairing piece on same side that the turn signal goes through is broken in half just before the deep phillips screw. I planned on epoxying that also so will take care of both at the same time.
Thanks!
