By the looks of your suspension linkage, you might want to take it apart and lube it.

Also, this might be a bit late in the project, but I just saw this RC-51 with radiators in the front and it looked like a cool setup. Hope ya don't mind me posting these pictures in your build thread.

Have fun with the Dan Moto rearsets.

There is a mod that you will need to do to the rear brake master to stop it from flexing.

I think I posted it on here.

If not I can post you some pics if you want, they have been good on my bike after the mod that I did.

Coming along nicely by the way. Oh, I think your radiators look the goods as well.

Always good to see someone try something different.

Crux -my linkage is lubed, a lot of steel parts on my bike look rough after I did a thorough cleaning last year... must have stripped whatever coating they had on them... anyways that RC looks awesome, I think that rad setup is how HRC did their race bikes but I could be wrong.

Ken - yea I'm aware of the mod but thanks for looking out. I have seen the thread and the different ways people have gone about fixing the issue.

There is actually a clearance issue with the factory bolt and the diameter of the brazed on bung... as I am swapping over all hardware to SS allen cap head bolts this wont be an issue, just dont have any in this size at the moment.

Tonight I have been working on dismantling the "wet" part of the brakes... I use the term wet loosely as brake fluid is hygroscopic and our goal is to keep water out lol. But I will be rebuilding all M/C's and calipers with new seals as the rear brakes are about 15 years old and the front are about 10. I need to decide on a caliper paint color because although I love the gold of the rear nissin caliper, my fronts are no longer factory nissin's but black tokico's and I need some color coordination in my life

I can mt wait to see how the new oil lines turn out...

If i'm not mistaking that red fighter is a 92-95 air/oil cooled GSXR with a pretty big oil cooler on it... Looks neat and retro!

I don't understand how the fork works on the green one...

James, been meaning to text you about the oil fittings but I see you found your way back to the thread...

both bikes look awesome and yea the RC looks like they just removed the fork cartridge and stuck a piece of straight steel tubing there.

as for my oil lines, I just ordered some 45 degree fittings for the cooler side and more hose (I was originally planning on a low mount so I only have a 3' section of hose)

hopefully by next week I'll have the oil cooler fully installed and ready to go

alright so last night and tonight I'm not getting much work done. Destroyed my back at work...

last night I ordered a bunch of parts to finish my cooling systems.

tonight got the front end removed. And also recieved my eastern beaver 8 circuit fuze box.

tomorrow I have the day off so I plan on finishing up the radiator brackets, cleaning up and making a finished product of all the cooling system brackets, cutting off the lower oil cooler mount tabs, grinding down the steering stops on the CBR lower triple, drilling the upper triple for bar risers and dismantling and start cleaning the rest of the brake/clutch components to prep them for rebuild/paint.

If I get to it, cleaning up the bars I got from james, start working on the guage cluster mount, fill in the second bleed hole of the rear carb and rejet again as I pulled the trigger on Dr. Honda Vstacks...

it will work if you can get the right hoses... that and you can probably score some factory oversize rads off ebay for around $100

I like spiffy... yea just get your measurements written down and spend an hour at your local parts store staring at hoses

I ordered up most of my hoses but I still need to go stare for the last 2 specailty hoses/connectors I need

So did a ton of shopping this morning for little bits and bobs for the bike... Also spent about an hour in one of the local radioshack's because they are closing and everything is 50-80% off... still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about the 1" to 3/4" from the water pump cover to the electric water pump but I think I have a solution...

so far today got he upper triple drilled for handlebar risers and the steering stops ground down on the lower triple... time to start working on the rest of the radiator brackets

Just found out that my dad took his chop saw to the cape so I'm not working on the brackets tonight... guess scotties gotta get himself a chop saw

Just fixed the danmoto weak brake M/C bracket. Drilled it from the back and tapped it for an M8 bolt... I'm going to see if I can find a shorter bolt so I dont have so many washers on there but it will do its job for now...

And just to show you what I've been dealing with the last couple years...

Ya it was odd. I realized it was already drilled but had no bolt?

So i did the same mod. Drilled out and put a m8 with a lock thread bolt. I don't like how tight it is. Doesn't seem to "MOVE" freely. I find myself pulling up on the lever all the time after braking.

ahhhhhhh sundays... so much work to do, so little gets done...

I guess after a long weekend with my son and not working on the bike for days, sundays get spent maybe doing some light work, drinking beers, and making a plan for the week to come....

All I've done tonight is tighten down the oil cooler fittings on the engine side that I made up, and tighten down the coolant outputs on the cylinder heads... too bad I dont have a match or close to a match on the longer bolts for that one... gotta hit up the hardware store for some longer m6 bolts
