Do i see correctly that you have mounted the Clip-ons below the triple clamp?
How do you find that and is there any probs with clearance. I have been toying with doint that myself, as i find the standard ride position rather upright

Just out of curiousity, has anyone heard of the VTR frame, specifically the steering head, not being strong enough to deal with the extra stress delivered to it due to heftier forks, triple clamps? I've never read anything of the sort, but maybe you have?

The VTR chassis has the reputation of being overly flexible. I found that most of the squirminess when pushing it hard was improved with the front end swap. It's not really a strength issue.
When lap times come down to the territory where you need to run slicks, the flex across the rear engine mounts becomes an issue. My friend Bob, developed the plates to weld in that Moriwaki uses to beef up the chassis in that area and adds a third diagonal brace up by the frame head. Then a reinforced swingarm is added.
For me I can run it a hard as I am capable, which seems pretty damned hard to me, without an issue.

I've looked it over carefully and it is a good starting point.
It turned out not to be Jimm's bike, but another race bike with a full Moriwaki exhaust and cams, race skins, safety-wired and 6260 miles on the clock. I have a new Penske 3-way shock on the way.
