I respect anyone so committed to the clean look that he ditches the license plate. Nice hawk, I had many red parts on mine at one time.

oahu, you're showing your age I saw Little Richard several years ago, when he was 70. He had more energy than most 20 year olds. I remember when that song was new

Oh, and nice bike...very clean looking, no pun intended. Sorry about temporarily jacking your thread.

The license plate was under the tail back then. Very visible from the rear, just not the side. I've since moved it back under the brake light. Too much attention from "the man". So far, all I have done is a K&N filter, Muzzy exhaust, Fox double clicker rear shock and Eibach spring, Dyno Jet jet kit and some cosmetic changes. Didn't feel like too much of a change until I rode a friends 01 TLs. I thought with the 15 or so HP difference that the TL would be more powerful than the Hawk. I was wrong. My Hawk will pretty easily power wheelie in 2nd, and still feels like a kick in the tail into 4th under hard acceleration. And the sound of 2 wide open Muzzy can..? Bliss.
