Introduction

Hi.. I just joined so I thought I would introduce myself.

I live in Tempe, Arizona. I have had my superhawk since 2000, it has a little over 50K miles on it, my favorite color is blue and I enjoy windy walks on the beach. :-D

I enjoy casual strolls on the beach but your walking is too fast for me. We could never be. (soft sobbing sounds......) :-)

Looks like stickers on 929 forks to me.

It's a US spec Superhawk, but I bought the entire plastic set from Canada and had it imported.

I have a friend that put his Galfer brake line stickers on his forks to protect the fork uppers. I thought it was a pretty good idea, so I did the same.

And just when we were getting so close too! *tear*

Um... close enough... 929 triples and brakes, 954 forks, 954 ignition barrel and key set... I was really pleased to find a 929 front fender matched the pearl Firestorm Yellow. It takes a really sharp eye to spot it's not a factory set up. The only non Honda bits are the bar risers. They are semi-custom jobbies made by Cycle Cat for a 929. http://www.cyclecat.com/BRAdjust1.htm

So yours is the yellow superhawk I see every so often. I live in Chandler. In a week or so, I'm planning on hitting the curves up on 89A. Maybe I'll see you then.

It might be me that you see around. I work in SOUTH Chandler, and do work for both Intel facilities... so I am down there all the time.

For the last couple of months I have had my "trackday" plastics on the bike. So, my bike isn't yellow... it's spray-can-I-had-laying-around black. :-)

But my nice bodywork is sitting there... waiting for me to get off my lazy *** and and change it back. As I get older (36) I find that I am not that enthusiastic about doing anything when it's 110 degrees out.

Actually... when I got the Wolf system it still had the Euro-quiet baffles. So it wasn't that loud and it was very restrictive. At 4K rpm, it was like hitting a wall. A couple hours and a few well placed hammer hits removed the baffles and it ran much better!

The Wolf system was really, really bad for foot placement. I couldn't stand on the ***** of my feet without burning my boots! The guy who bought it seemed happy with them though.

Are you asking about the gold looking exhaust that's on the bike now, or the undertail kit?

The gold exhaust is by Two Brothers. It looks pretty cool in direct sunlight, it has a really gold-diamond look to it. On a hazy day, I think it looks like balsa wood though (yuck).

The black undertail was made by Wolf, a UK company.

yeah, im familiar with the 2bros, but I had never seen the Wolf system before

i like the appearance of it, except for the tips facing inward.

do you say it is a poor system as far as performance?

I work at the MCI center, not too far from Intel. If you ever see a guy putzing around on a titanium 2005 superhawk, it's probably me.

I got a couple of questions about the tips. The first question was the size, the outlets where Way bigger than the inlets. And yes, the outlets faced inward a bit. In person it was a pretty sharp set up.

I didn't put my bike on a dyo until I put the two bros. pipes on, but from the "seat of my pants" I can tell you the Wolf system wasn't any good for power. It was really noticable until I took the baffles out, after that it wasn't too bad. I really noticed a difference after I changed to the two brothers though. The first set of pipes I had on the bike where Vance & Hines. Those were great pipes, they were pretty quiet and performed pretty well.

ok... so just to re-cap...

This is what the bike looked like when I bought it:

Then I broke my wrist doing this:

Then I fixed it so it looked like this:

Name: wolf1.jpg
Views: 16
Size: 57.8 KB

And that was ok, but I changed it so it looked like this:

Size: 47.3 KB

But right now, it looks like this: (but I still have the yellow bodywork)

Whoa.. I am on color number 3!!!
