Currently I am working with JD on the F4I rear shock conversion. I am soon to change the handlebar clamps to install a Scott's damper. I need to vent the rear cowl for the underseat radiator. Installing a Vortex rear sprocket 41T this weekend, down from the 43t. Hoping to get some MPG back????
Lots of bikes here.....
954RR front end, CBR1000RR meter assy, CB1000 Clutch master, 919 Brake master, CBR1100XX footpegs......
Powdercoated engine and valve covers, frame swingarm and brake calipers.
What a fun bike to ride, I've had many CBR's and VFR's and I really like this bike...... Other than the fuel range....
Any Ideas or feedback??? On anything???

Very well executed. Actually looks right with everything in proportion and no bits and pieces hanging off looking like they don't belong.
Wouldn't mind a few more pics to see how the front looks.

oil cooler is an Earl's, ordered it from summit, sp? Came up with the dimensions to fit and then made brackets to mount.
The bike now has the exhaust emblems on it, also some 1000RR ofsetted framesliders.
MIKSTR, where can I see pics of your bike? I've been a member for some time and have read a few of your threads/replies.

Honda, are you paying attention?
Sweet bike. I have dreams about bikes like this.
Clean lines, good color, nice components, good egros and a VTR motor!
Honda, when will you build one like this?
Oh well, there's always Ducati's Streetfighter or I will have to take note and build one of these myself.

Thanks for the compliments,
Just before I made this bike I had a 929, Fun but uncomfortable and trouble. I purchased a 919 to get more upright. There were just too many things I wanted to change about the bike to make it just right. Too buzzy at freeway speeds, needs upside down forks, fat handlebars, exhaust.... Now I have a V-twin that has sooo much more character, it's weird really, it is such a different riding experience than the 919 was.
919 was not a bad bike. I then sold it and went to a V-tec. Good bike too, but....
Now I have a bike that is more comfortable, lighter, more torque, brakes, handles....
This fuel range thing stinks though. 100mi per tank.

How in the heck do I post larger pics, like others I've seen posted.
The radiator is underneath the seat. I had it custom made. It is brass and thick to add as a heat sink. So far here in mild Washington the engine temps vary. The last time out it was 45-50F outside and the bike ran around 204-206F. I will cut out vents on the rear cowl to help it breathe. I may go with another small aux fan like the 1000rr.

Brilliant! Great Job. For under seat cooling check out Kai Ju's set up if you haven't seen it already...

Looks great as is. But if you want to close up the space between the headlight and the clocks maybe add something really small like a Buell Blast or puig universal fairing.

That is VERY nice! I have an '05 as well, and the Titanium color sure looks good with the black frame and exhaust.
I'm usually not a fan of naked bikes, but your's is so well done....I'd ride it.

Headlight is from a 919. I used a Vortex billet upper clamp, no longer avail. does anyone know of an alt??? I would like to get another as a spare, billet that is. Used two pieces of angle aluminum from lower clamp to upper. Brackets off each side of headlight is from 919 as well.
Thanks for the complements

Hey VTS,
Nice bike, where are the pics of the radiator, fan and plumbing ?
I've been bugging you for over a year, I'm tired of waiting.
Your bike does look nice, I really like the color combo.
BTW, regarding range issues, I have a 1998 to 2001 VFR tank I'm getting ready to convert for Superhawk use.
It's a Canadian tank in a teal color, but is in excellent shape.
I've got my tank off so that I can make another fuel pump block off/petcock mounting plate.
Let me know if you're interested.
It's interesting to read the positive comments about your bike, which echo the comments made about mine several years ago.
I do wish somebody at Honda was listening and would take a look at our bikes and realize that there might just be a market for a naked twin.

I also had an 05 TI colored bike and must say that I built my bike in my head to look exactly like yours does now. Always liked the streetfighter look as why I now own a Monster. If Honda built that I would be first in line. Very well done bike

Chickenstrip,
I checked out your profile to try to get a better look at your saddlebag setup. I also tried using the search for a thread talking about how you did it. could not find anything. So as far as I can guess you have a wingrack on it with some kind of custom mount???
Thank you for any pics or info.
