oh and by the way if you want any of the stock parts i have a pile and everything but the rear fairing is practically new. pipes, plastics, gauges,... etc. make me an offer if you like
Ive ridden it a couple time just straight piped like it is now and falling off isnt gonna be a problem, i increased the angle of the subframe and i cant keep my ***** out of the tank now.
so what does everyone think? she's done for the time being, I thrashed her good today and got a lot of stares, im assuming people were wondering what i was riding, but i just think to myself that its the result of loving the hawk but not wanting to pull up to a stop light and seeing another like mine. ever!!!

That thing is SICK! I love the exhaust pipe coloring and the way it matches up with the rest of the bike (what's there anyway!). How's it sound with the single pipe? Can't quite see how the collector is set up underneath to run them both together...
Oh, and PM sent about some parts...

It sounds mean i love the note. Its a micron pipe thats been shortened 5 inches, its a real deep growl at idle and pops under deceleration. and the stock exhaust is a two into one into two so i just chopped it at the y and got a really good local hot rod shop to mandrel bend up a piece of 2 inch stainless and sleeve the stock y pipe.
i am taking it into the shop next week to have the carbs tuned. after i get a new air cleaner. I rode all day today and got ok mileage as far as i know, without gauges i cant give and exact number but i rode from my house out to boulder and then to brighton and back home and only used 2 gallons so i dont think its too bad. and it still pulls like a beast low in the torque range im not sure on top end though
Both those bikes look nice. I especially like the red one, but I'm partial to red.
I just never like the side radiators on a streetfightered Hawk. They stand out too much for me, but if you like it that's really all that matters.

I hid what i could fit between the frame rails and the battery moved forward almost to the shock i built a housing behind the battery to hold the ecu.

with your bike you have alot of room behind your plastics to hide stuff you may have to add some wire to make your harness long enough though.
