Dr. Schmuckenstein's Monster
This is my first 'fighter. I've been working on it for about two years. It used to be a 1999 Honda VTR1000F Super Hawk. I have fabricated, modified, or replaced everything but the engine internals. Maybe some day I'll have the time to sit down and list everything I've done. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!!
$6500 if you want to buy it so I can start my next project!

Not really an ad. Just an FYI. If I don't get $6500 out of it..... I guess I'll just have to keep it..... Oh Darn(sarcasm intended). I love this bike, but I love building too.

Thanks evryone.
It's GSXR750 tail. No need for a shock as of yet. Carrozzeria wheels, love them. Carbs were jetted for Jardines (old owner) w/ K&N and I haven't changed it yet. I'm going to have it dyno tuned next season.

I'm right there Mick! I don't think any of these street projects are worth beans without dealing with the rads. The underseat thing was good but Jesus - you better live up there near you for that one. I have seen some forward displays that were cool to look at but not very cool on the road because of the front header.

I've have lived with my underseat radiator for about 2 1/2 years now with ambient temps ranging from the low 30's to 110 plus.
My bike runs cooler than VFR's or RC51's and when I was riding in the 110 deg temps it topped out at 235 deg as per the digital temp gauge.
And I live in southern California.
SNGPerformance,
Sorry about the brief Hijack SNG, your bike looks awesome and I really like the black finish on your frame/swingarm etc. Would you mind sharing what kind of finish it is ?
Whose muffler/passenger footpeg mount and what are the dimensions from subframe boltholes to muffler bracket ? On second look, are those the stock mounts ?
Nice Job, blue and black look great together.

It's a really cool mod but I never thought it would cool like that! That's great!

Great job and if I had the money...I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

Thanks Blue. I've put 700 miles on it in the last month and I am truely impressed by this motorcycle. Thanks to the rest of you too. I'm happy to know others like it as much as I do.

Ummmm. HUGE wow factor brother!!! I like it too, and I agree the side rads do not bother me at all on this bike... most likely the black frame and blue bodywork... It has something to do with (and I am reaching here) why Indian Larry's bikes are so cool, the "Industrial-Technology-Gizmo-Ness" looks good when it all hangs out in the open to a certain extent. I don't mean have your battery and rectifier out there for all to see, but this fighter captures the look extremely well even with the rads... Looks WAY better than a Street Triple to me! Maybe what I would do is get some slotted or perforated polished aluminum covers made up, with a brass knuckle logo or something really mean machined out of them to cover them.
Great job!!!!!! I would ride OUT on that ****!!!

Congratulation!!!! This Bike is very very huge!
Can you give us more details about exhaust system?
And what about rear hugger? Is it a custom made one or is it a regular aftermarket item?
Bye
PS Do not take stock radiators off. Simply paint them black!!!

The header was cut and a two inch section of pipe was added to the end of the collector. The exhaust is from an '03ish ZX9R. I shorted the muffler to 13 inches and only modified the the mid-pipe slightly. The system is still a slip-on.
The hugger is a Pyramid carbon I bought used off of someone on here. Sorry I can't remember who, it's been too long.

Exhaust is sweet minus the wrap....functional but not so pretty.. But sweet bike overall. I'd keep the side-mount rads and as was mentioned, paint them or do something with em...they draw too much attention. But I wouldnt go to front-mount....too traditional for my tastes. Maybe some of that diamond-shaped wire stuff, like the chicken wire....thicker stuff, painted black to give it some detail but not draw the eye too much. Dunno.

Are you saying that the carbon fiber hugger, fender, or silencer have the potential to break more easily than standard?
This bike is very nice! I am kinda inspired to revisit the idea. What was your solution to the handle bar/mount/top triple interface?
