So far away. You're only, like, a plane ticket and 19 hour ride from Joe.

I drove down to VA to buy it. I would have to sell this one or my daily ride which has a CBR600RR dash and front end and a givi 3 bag rack.
Rides fine with a passenger like a regular VTR. It has a penske shock on it so fully adjustable. The wheelbase is slightly longer so less wheelie prone

I’m in the middle of my conversion and a drawing of a dogbone would be very helpful. I sent a pm to calitoz but he’s not active since a long time ago

When I bought this bike it had triangles (dogbones) that were not strong enough so I rebuilt and machined new ones. I think I have the old ones around and I have a utube vid that shows closeups of how it looks on the bike. I will try to post some more info.

Let's wake an old thread up

Hi everyone I am extremely late to the party but wanted to ask for some help , after falling in love with the vtr in 1998 when my pops had one as soon as I had the chance as an adult I thought I will have one , so I went and got me an old 1998 vtr1000f and am going to do the SSS conversion , long shot but has anyone still got the triangle and dog bone measurements or design so I can get them made , thank you

I actually just cut up the original triangles that were on this bike when I bought it. They are on my sons E bike build to raise the rear. I can take a look and take some pics.

Oh and I dont ever plan to sell this sweet bike. Life is too short. This is really the bike honda should have made to beat the Ducati 996. The swingarm, the CBR1000rr upside down forks, etc. The next mod for me is a CBR1000 dash (which gives digital speed, temp, and a gas guage) just like my daily bike with a 600rr dash.

This is both bikes. Its before the 600rr front end went on the daily bike.

Ive been looking at usd front end also , found everything I need for the SSS conversion other than said dog bone, triangle , then pipe work for exhaust system .

Been looking for resr sets too but theey seem hard to find and when i do find them there £400+ , thats half the front-end swap paid for. so going for cnc footpegs instead at a fraction of the price

Here's a couple of shots of my old girl , shes called Frankie (frank)
