Question light bulb exchange

I just brought a used super hawk recently and my bright light just went out. Can someone run down the procedure to me on how to exchange it out. At first I was going to pull it out but then realize that it seems as though a spring is holding it in place. I have a 2001 Hawk, Super. Need some help since the lighting isn't that great with the high beam.

- Reach down to where the wiring harness plugged in.
- Pull off the dust cover.
- Reach in from the clutch side with your right hand, and grip the "spring" between your thumb and forefinger.
- Squeeze your thumb and forefinger together (the pointer should be the one actually moving), and you will "unhook" the retainer clip.
- The clip will rotate out of the way, and the bulb should come out easily.

Congrats on the purchase!

light bulb exchange

Do you have to remove the screw or does it have some other purpose?

No reason to remove the screw. Just push in and slide it out from under the retaining clip. Then it hinges out of the way.
