So I gave most of high attention riding a rest over the summer. My right index finger hasn't really healed since I wrecked my Jeep. I can't tape my fingers together with gloves on, and it's tough to do stop and go traffic with a bum finger. So I taped my motorcycle glove fingers together instead, finally. Problem solved! I don't know why it took me so long to think of it, but it's working! Just had to share my joy...
