Chance to buy bike back.

To make a short story long, wrecked superhawk 3 months ago. Insurance totaled it and I bought a GSXR600 so I could ride on the street and do trackdays. Happend to just see her on a website for salvaged/wrecked bike for sale. I am thinking I can maybe buy it for under $1500 and make a trackbike out of her. All bodywork is gone as well as many other parts. Really the only things not damaged is the frame ,tank, swingarm and wheels. Would I be going two steps back from the GSXR(thing rocks on the track). Who here has made theirs a trackbike? Would love to get feedback good and bad on it.

Really, all I think I will need is right-side engine case, race plastic, rear sets, subframe and exhaust to get her back running. Next would be all the goodies to make her perform better like brake lines, rear shock, gearing and maybe a mohawk so I can look tuff! LOL.
