I gave up trying to get a used Duc Ohlins; bidding was always too high. Those Duc boys have got too much money!
Yeah you're right about that I'm hopeing no ones looking one day and I can sweep it out from under them. I know that some RC51s I've seen have a carbon fiber shield for the shock.

Re: What have you done to your Hawk

You guys are filling my head with all kinds of ideas to get me in trouble with the other half!! I just got mine back together after a third go-round with the stock CCTs. While I was tearing into it, I decided to completely tear the bike apart.

ZG Double Bubble smoked
Goodridge brake lines
80W bulb
LP flush mounts front and rear (rear integrated into the tail section)
Powercoated frame (gloss black)
Powdercoated swingarm (gloss black)
Chromed: rear sets, levers, upper tree, rear pegs/ brackets, clip-ons
Once I finish wasting the current Dunlops, the wheels will be coated to match the frame leaving the smooth lip polished and wrapped in Pirellis. Both side covers and the valve covers will go in at thesame time for a flat black coat - gotta meet the shop minimum!

APE CCTs
Ported heads
JE 11.5:1 pistons
Total Seal rings
balanced crank
balanced rods
+2 rear
D&D slip-ons
Jet Hot coated header ppes
de-restricted manifold boots
K&N filter
Factory 1.0 Jet kit
DynoJet Wide Band Commander
manual fan switch
Auto Meter shift light (waiting for new dyno to set the appropriate pill)
Barnett clutch springs

It currently runs okay with no tuning mods other than a 185 front
and 188 rear, but it's going on the dyno for tuning after I get about 1,000 miles on the new build to get it dialed-in.

Already got the springs & the Gold Valves from a guy in Oklahoma at a big discount.
He's closing out his last Race Tech stuff.
Springs $85 then take another 30%off !
That's one hell of a deal !
Still has some left here:
http://www.tulsasportbikeriders.com/...pic.php?t=3730
Need to order the rebound valves & get to working on it!!
These forks really need it with my 190lb weight.
I got the .90kg springs instead of Cyder77's .85kg cause my weight bounces around (too much-I'm light for me right now)

Got my Ohlins the other dayoff ebay just need to install it.
Same with the VFR bars.
Waiting for the correct LED taillight from that ebay seller that sent the wrong one.
He's supposed to have already shipped the right one :-( [I'm thinking it would have been less trouble to just order directly from clear alternatives http://tinyurl.com/a24qb & paid the extra $20 to get it right the 1st time] grrrrrr......

The LEDs on the Mototeck undertail leave something to be desired in the visibility department....I'm hoping the taillight turnsignals help be seen better.

I bought Cyder77's Pyramid undertail & hugger.
He is a good seller & fast shipper.
Thanks Cyder77 !!!
I checked into buying the paint to color match to my bike and was shocked to find paint so expensive.
Then I saw DavidH1172's pictures of his Mototeck undertail I had to have one....it looks SO cool ! (and is color matched)

Found I got a heck of a deal on a Pyramid carbon fiber hugger and CF tank protecter ($137) on ebay so I didn't use either of Cyder77's items :-(
Know anybody interested in them?
I'll make them a heck of a deal !

I got it with all the basic mods done(yosh slip-ons, Pair valve, jetting)
I have done -1 on the front sprocket.
I am having manual cam chain adjusters put on this winter, other than that, nothing.
