Went to the drag strip..........
Hey guys took the hawk to the strip here are my results.... best time was 11.54 at 119mph....60 foot was 2.034 could not keep the front end down my launches where horible did 3 runs this was the best of them my reaction time was also bad at .739... o well not bad for my first time taking a bike down the track at least I did not crash ha.... O yeah my bike is bone stock except a baffle removal with 990 miles on the clock..what do you guys think I think if I could launch I might be in the low 11's hu

Man, that thing is just getting broken in!
Seems the straps that tie-down the front end really help. The clutch gets funny at the strip, but nobody seems to know why. You also might want to try raising the rear a little by adding a shim under the top shock-mount. about a 5 or 6 mm shim is good. Mine doesn't pick the front up nearly as easily with the rear raised.

Re: Went to the drag strip..........
Its the opposite of that, if you drop the rear all the way down it makes the bikes pivoting point much harder to raise and thus makes it much harder to wheelie. Look at the fastest bikes in the world they are all slammed to the ground. the only reason cars raise it is to fit big tires.
