Turn signals

I just cut my rear fender off yesterday and made a eliminator out of stainless steel. Everything turned out awesome! I am now looking for some new signals front and back to get rid of the stock ones. Anyone had any luck with certain brands or what looks best.

Well that's a hell of an introduction, or did I miss something?

signals

2002 superhawk, just bought a month ago. Have been searching but am new to the superhawk and thought some people might know better than me. Some things work better than others, like searching for signals on the internet or getting advice from someone who actually knows.

intro

Did not know I need a history profile in order to get an answer.
Here it goes. I am from Peoria Illinois and am a manufacturing teacher. I have been around motorcycles my entire life was born into a motorcycle racer family. My grandfather raced, my dad, my brother and myself. We all raced flattrack professionally for a number of years. When I quit racing to get my teaching job I was a top ranked pro rider on the 450's. When I stopped racing I was 22 years old and am now 26. I then bought a harley lowrider when I sold my race bikes and motocross bikes. I now have started motocrossing again and was able to after I sold my harley. I bought a kxf 250 dirtbike and bought my 2002 honda superhawk. It has 5000k on it and runs great. The previous owner must have kept it outside because the bike is faded all over. This winter I am going to get it painted. As of now, I have made custom bar ends and have made my custom fender eliminator. I have access to every machine you can think of excluding a laser cutter. I plan on doing more fab work when time allows.
Hows that?

Welcome! Keep talking about access to machines and fabricating parts and you'll have people wanting you to make them stuff here! Everybody likes pictures too! I haven't changed out my signals but I hear good things about protons and clear alternatives. Protons are pricey but I hear they're worth it. Just be careful on getting the tiny rears as I've heard they are not too functional and a lot of guys are going with an integradted tail light to compensate.

I bought some of the Proton flushmounts and like them alot! When in flashing mode they'll induce a seizure. Still trying to decide what to do for the back yet. I have considered a combo tail light but don't think the blinkers would be bright enough.

Deiss44,

Also from Peoria. Work for Cat out in Mossville and have a red Hawk. There are two guys that work at the Cat proving grounds that ride Hawks as well (one red and one dark gray).

And don't take anything on here too personal. Every single NOOB gets ripped for not posting pics and for asking questions rather than using the search function. Guess they want you to spend four hours searching thru threads rather than asking for their input (which would actually take less effort to provide than flaming your ****).

Welcome to the forum. That wasn't so hard was it?

These have been sitting on my computer desk for almost a year now. The bracket goes behind the plate and the lights mount to it. Still new, I bought them and decided on these:

If you (or anyone's) interested, $5 +shipping.

Check out the LED turn signals from Shock Racing, they are pretty small and are bright as hell.

PS Welcome
I would have to see the print. My machines are capable of a lot of single axis parts. Not much we can do with multiple axes. You can email me the print and I'll let you know.

fender eliminator

A couple of giys wanted to see my fender eliminator. I redid it today and got rid of all reflectors and moved the key under the fender for the seat. I hacked aways at the fender and replaced all with stainless steel after cutting a price 11" wide and narrowing it to 7" at the back. I used a sheet metal brake and bent the angles for a perfect fit to the underside of the seat. I then made a bracket for the signals I bought from wolverine that looked a little better than the aftermarket one that the purchase came with. Tell me what you guys think.
