Yes this was done in Inventor using the technology preview as it can handle assemblies. 2010 Inventor Pro does the same now but we haven't loaded it up yet do to our database management needing to be updated to handle '10. Still having to use '09 Pro for single component FEA.

Yes the parts were bonded where needed. A nice feature with the TP is that any constraints you add in the assembly model carry over into the FEA package as intended. Which is nice as it saves time building the relationship of components in FEA.

I can't remember off hand what the boundary conditions were on the static stress analysis. The frequency analysis just show the effects on the components ran under a vibe test at a given range. The top triple bore where it would mount to the frame was of course used as the structural fixed constraint just as it would be in reality.

PM me when you get it ready and we can discuss what all you need from the FEA (ie type of analysis, what you're looking for like safety factor, weight savings, structural rigidity, etc). I will also need to know the boundary conditions you want to run on it (forces/loads applied and where).

Do the cutouts in the Coerce FB or possibly Truck's "final design" cause a wistling noise no one can hear from the saddle? What about breaking laminar flow over the fender? LOL

Whistling noise may prevent unwanted deer encounters.

as you can see the stock fork boots can be re used. They only slide down about half as far as stock, but a few dabs of silicone should hold them in place just fine.

Ok, Im ready to start taking orders.

I new a few orders in order to buy some tooling and have the blanks cut out.

So are there 2 or 3 people willing to pay now, so I have enough money to start up?

These people will be the first to receive the braces.

I really appreciate it people.

I've already got those designed. Let me know if you are interested and I'll post up a picture of what they look like. Adding holes for straight bars is easy like Sunday morning.

This is probably a dumb question but, does the install require fork removal?

No, not dumb at all... Yes, since they are smaller than the thick lower leg you will have to drop the fork legs out of the triples to install them... That takes a stand that lifts in the triple or creative use of a beam and some straps...

Do you just drive them onto the forks, or are you going with the slot and bolt 'clamp' like was drawn into your original sketch? Just looks like they need some way to secure them to the fork lowers other than just being driven on, considering the flex involved.

actually no. Its a 3 piece design. The outer pieces clamp around the fork legs and to the center brace.

There is no dis assembly required. About a 5 min install.

so just to be crystal clear, you do NOT have to remove the forks?

correct, you DO NOT have to remove the forks.

You need to slide the stock fork protectors up, bolt up the brace, put a few dabs of silicone on the inside of the fork protectors, slide them back down, then go ride.
