Tires suggestions
I have 2 sets of rims, and currently I have a 180/55 on one and a 190/50 on the other.
The tires arent the same so this is only a partial comparison, but the 190 seems to effect a flatter profile with slightly more rubber on the road. It does tend to tremendously slow the steering, but when combined with a +2 sprocket under a stock chain, it balances out. You lose a couple of degrees of lean, but up to the point where the tread ends, it seems more stable and possiby more rubber on the road.if you are over that far on the street, well, you don't need my advice.
My current favorite for cruising down the road is a 120/60 front and a 190/55 rear mated with +2 rear sproket. The Shawk is really stable with that combo, and the tire wear, if anything seems a bit better.
For track days I swap back to all stock.
